On my days off work, I can usually look forward to a phone call from my dad during his lunch break. I didn't get one today, and that made me kind of sad. I went to work for the second part of the day because I was subbing for a coworker, and didn't think any more about missing Dad's call. When I was almost done at work, I checked my phone to find a voicemail from my dad! He just said he wanted to see how I was doing, to let him know if I needed anything, and that he loves me. Made my day!

Life is beautiful, especially when you are looking for the beautiful things that happen every day.
